Do You Know What Makes People “Tick” in Small Groups?

by Allen White

Most church members don’t consider themselves to be leaders. Yet, every believer is called to lead others (Matthew 28:18-20). Non-leaders often feel guilty or frustrated when they’re challenged to step up to lead. There is a better way.

Over the years, I have witnessed hundreds of non-leaders become leaders in my own church as well as

coaching hundreds of other churches to do the same. Probably the best compliment anyone ever gave me was from a guy name Doug: “Thank you, Pastor Allen, for showing me I was the leader I never knew I was.” Your church is filled with Dougs.

Every day I get to do my favorite thing — coaching and encouraging pastors to take ordinary church members put an easy-to-use curriculum in their hands and turn them into the leaders they never knew they were. No guilt. No frustration. In fact, some of them tell me, “I’ve found the best thing I’ve ever done.”

If you would like to turn your audience into an army, here are some ways I can help you along with the rest of the Lifetogether Ministries:

1. Small Group Ministry Coaching

This 30 Day Ministry Assessment will help you identify your ministry’s current strengths and weaknesses. By surveying group leaders and members, interviewing staff and key lay leaders, and reviewing your group history and goals, the Lifetogether team will create a plan for your small group ministries future success.

3. Curriculum Production Coaching

After selling over 4 million units of curriculum through major publishers, Lifetogether is now helping churches develop their own video-based curriculum. Whether you need the Lifetogether team to develop a full production curriculum for you or you would prefer to have the Lifetogether team train your staff and volunteer team to develop your own, we will give you the templates and methods to develop your own publisher-ready curriculum.

4. Curriculum Development with Major Publishers

Lifetogether continues to develop new projects with major publishers to disciple your group members. In addition to Lifetogether’s own award-winning, best-selling curriculum, we also contract with authors to create curriculum from their books, sermons and series.
